Well Beyond Medicine: The Nemours Children's Health Podcast was launched as part of the health system’s deep commitment to the health of every child in the U.S. The podcast, part of a multi-faceted strategy to further elevate Nemours Children’s voice and vast expertise on matters requiring systems-level disruption, is thoughtfully designed to create awareness, dialogue and action among peers, thought leaders, legislators and policymakers of the many issues affecting children’s health in today’s world, beyond medical care. 


Ruckus was engaged to support the development of the podcast strategy. Through research and design, we developed the name and brand as well as provided input on the tone, content and cadence. We leveraged insights to develop a robust website platform and established the podcast hosting, voicemail and email components. In addition to developing the launch plan and creative assets, we collaborated to create an original theme song and have worked to help produce live events. We work weekly on ongoing episode promotion including internal communications and social media. Most recently, we planned and implemented a paid advertising campaign which resulted in the podcast charting on Apple as high as #8 in the Health & Wellness categories. Since launching in May 2023, the Well Beyond Medicine podcast has launched 47 original episodes, resulting in 80,000+ downloads across more than 7,000 cities in the U.S. and added nearly 7,000 followers on Apple Podcasts.
